Florida is recognized for its world-class beaches but there is so much more to it than that. If you don’t explore beyond the beach, you may be missing out on a fun, engrossing, and exciting adventure. Should you decide to [safely] travel to Florida in 2021, consider these tips.
Venture beyond the beach. From the Everglades to attractions like the self-guided Lion Country Safari and the Art Deco of Miami Beach, you owe it to yourself to see what else South Florida has in store. Conversely, if you haven’t scheduled a beach day, make sure to do so.
Bring sunscreen. There are many reasons why Florida is known as “The Sunshine State” and among them is the powerful sun. Even on those days when the sun isn’t out at full blast, make sure you’re applying reef-safe sunscreen with at least 30 SPF. Sunburns can happen rapidly, trust us.
The Florida Keys await. Are you seeking a tropical island escape without the airfare? The Florida Keys are a must-visit. The 120-mile archipelago extends from Key Largo down to popular Key West, home of the country’s southernmost point of the continental United States (don’t forget to snap the obligatory photo). Each “key” has its distinct charm and the lifestyle reinforces laid back, relaxing, and enjoying the tranquil, scenic, natural ambiance.
